In order to view or modify data, you must have a DataspaceWorkspace.  Once you have a Dataspace Workspace to work in, you must create an editable reference to your data source called a dataset. The Let's Get Started option is simply a shortcut for creating a new DataspaceWorkspace.

When you connect to a data source, Neebo inspects the source structure and includes all discovered data assets or table so they are available within Neebo. Although you specify a given table when connecting, introspection means all tables from the database are referenced in Neebo's virtualized data collection.

Workspace

DataspaceWorkspace is an asset used to add, track, and share data related to a given project. You can share access to a Dataspace Workspace with other Neebo users, add comments, add tags, and manipulate datasets in the related Workbench. The central Flow area provides a visual representation of the relationship between data sources and datasets. The same Flow area showing your data lineage and provenance is visible in the Workbench.

The Workbench is the Neebo editor. It is where you view the contents of data tables, see data metrics, and access the toolset of analytical operations that can be applied to the data. Once you enrich, filter, transform or otherwise modify data, you can also launch business intelligence or data analysis tools like Tableau, Looker, or Jupyter by clicking the Open in button. Use the breadcrumb path in the header bar to navigate back to the DataspaceWorkspace.

Home page

The home page is your search and notification center. It provides several different levels of detail and ways to view information about what is happening in Neebo. The navigation panel to the left lets you list all Neebo assets by type.

This section shows a condensed view of your recently used assets, with shortcut links. Use the filters at the top of the section to  display just recently used DataspacesWorkspaces, datasets, documents or apps. You can click on an asset name in a card to navigate to the details page for that asset.

Recently used dataset cards also have a context menu  that lets you add a dataset to an existing Dataspace Workspace or create a new Dataspace Workspace to which the dataset will be added. Similarly, the context menu for recently used documents gives the options to add the file to a DataspaceWorkspace, view its details, or to download it.

Neebo makes sharing work with your colleagues effortless. When you make someone a collaborator on a DataspaceWorkspace, they are effectively another owner. A collaborator can add or remove datasets, manipulate data, add comments and descriptions, etc. Collaborators and owners share activity notifications as well.  However, users invited to collaborate are required to authenticate against used data sources in order to access data, they cannot piggyback on another users credentials.
